Dongguan Agristar Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was set up based on its joint venture precursor,“Agristar Aseptic Cultured Plant Co., Ltd.” founded in 1992. It is the first Chinese hi-tech agricultural company taking plant tissue technology as the platform for its development. Since its establishing, the company has developed into an international seedling production enterprise. It consistently adheres to the principle of laying the stress on product quality, rigorously depending on modernized management system and standardized production procedures to supply seedlings with good quality to meet the needs of market.
Carrying on the preexisting system of both production and management, the Agristar Biotechnology Co., Ltd., now, can annually produce and sell almost 20 millions seedlings of various varieties. Among those, flower seedlings constitute 18 millions. Its markets spread all over the main domestic flower-growing areas, and about 8 million microcuttings exported annually to more than ten countries of Europe, America, Australia and Asia. Besides supplying the qualified microcuttings, company also possesses a growing base of ca. 15 hectares where 10 millions of liners and 2 millions cupped seedlings can be cultured. So, at present, the company is the biggest supply base in southern China of seedlings of foliage plants, cutting flowers and woody plants. More than 100 varieties have been put on market in large amount including: Spathiphyllum, Aglaonema, Dieffenbachia, Syngonium, Bromeliad, Anthurium, Alocasia, Ficus, Ferns, Calathea, Stromanthe, Alpinia, Dracaena, Yucca, Cordyline, Gerbera, Phalaenopsis, Carnivore: Nepenthes, Dionaea and Sarracenia; industrial crops: Bamboo,Sugarcane, Aloe, Banana, Strawberry and Azadirachia. |
